この度、日本の食文化を通じた交流や体験ができる施設として「甘味茶房さのまち庵」をオープンします。
南海泉佐野駅から徒歩5分ほどにある元酒屋さんの物件をリノベーションしました。
大正時代に建てられたこの建物は、その風情が今も残っており、建具や襖の一部をそのまま使用しています。
そこに新しい要素も交えながら、古き良きものを後世に引き継いでいければと思っています。
そして、泉佐野市の日本遺産に登録されている北前船の襖絵をアーティストの方に描いていただき、泉佐野の歴史や日本遺産の周知、さの町場のことも広く知っていただきたいと思っています。
さのまち庵のこだわりであるメインのお団子に使用するお餅は、もち米と米粉をブレンドし、もっちりとした弾力とすっとほどける歯ざわりが特徴で、店内で一つ一つ丁寧に手作りしています。
その美味しさとこだわりの食感をぜひご堪能ください。
地元や近隣の果物や食材も使用し、季節なりのメニューもご準備させていただく予定です。
店舗入り口フロアスペースでは、甘味処として和菓子を味わっていただくカフェスペースとして、1階、2階の畳スペースでは、茶道や和菓子作りといった体験スペースと、女性活躍推進につなげるためのワークショップやセミナーを今後開催予定としています。
和を感じられる落ち着いた雰囲気の店内で、心がほっと癒されるひとときをお届けします。

We are pleased to announce the opening of “Amaichabo Sanomachi An” as a facility where people can interact and experience Japanese food culture.
We have renovated a former liquor store property located about a 5-minute walk from Nankai Izumisano Station.
Built in the Taisho era (1912-1926), the building still retains its original atmosphere, and some of the fixtures and sliding doors are still in use.
We hope to pass on the good old things to future generations while mixing new elements into it.
We would also like to have an artist paint the fusuma-e (sliding door panels) of the Kitamae-bune, which is registered as a Japanese Heritage Site in Izumisano, to spread awareness of Izumisano’s history and Japanese Heritage, as well as of Sano Machi-an.
The mochi used for the main dumpling, which is one of Sano Machian’s specialties, is a blend of glutinous rice and rice flour, and is carefully handmade one by one in the store with its characteristic elasticity and smooth texture.
We hope you will enjoy its delicious taste and texture.
We plan to prepare seasonal menu items using local and neighborhood fruits and ingredients.
The entrance floor space will be used as a café space where you can enjoy Japanese sweets as a sweet shop, and the tatami space on the first and second floors will be used for hands-on activities such as tea ceremony and making Japanese sweets, and for workshops and seminars to promote women’s activities.
The store will offer a relaxing atmosphere with a sense of harmony to provide you with a moment of peace and relaxation.
